This Privacy Policy covers filmgrainbrain.com, its contact and support forms, Brain Notes and Brain Signals paths, store pages, and download-recovery paths operated by Film Grain Brain LLC.

For privacy questions, correction requests, or deletion requests, email contact@filmgrainbrain.com or use the contact page.

Depending on the form, we may receive your name, email address, message, inquiry type, editor or NLE, product, receipt, order or license reference, notes, preference choices, and source path. A client timing value may be processed transiently for abuse prevention. The hidden company field is an anti-bot field and is discarded if it is populated.

Contact, resource, Brain Signals, email-preference, and recovery requests are sent to the studio inbox when server email delivery is configured and accepts the submission. If server delivery is unavailable, your browser may open your mail client instead, and your email provider will handle that message. The site does not create a customer account from these forms.

The public store currently displays catalog information but does not accept paid checkout. When a purchase is available, the checkout provider may process payment, tax, order, license, and delivery information. Film Grain Brain receives the information needed to fulfill the order, provide support, handle refunds, and keep required business records. This website does not receive full payment-card numbers.

For abuse prevention, the contact endpoint uses an IP-derived or forwarded client identifier and the submitted email address to apply rate limits. Rate-limit keys are hashed and used for the protection window, and may be stored in memory or the configured Netlify Blobs store. These controls are not used for advertising.

Information is used to read and reply to messages, deliver requested resources or release notices, review optional email requests, provide product support, investigate delivery or license problems, process purchases and refunds when available, protect forms from abuse, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

Film Grain Brain LLC does not sell personal information or use information submitted through these forms for cross-site behavioral advertising. A contact message is not used to build a marketing profile unrelated to the request.

The site does not currently operate an automated subscriber database or mailing-list update system. Optional email requests are reviewed and processed separately from transactional, security, license, download, and support messages.

When server email delivery is configured and accepts a submission, contact messages are sent through Resend to contact@filmgrainbrain.com. Hosting, deployment, rate-limit storage, analytics, email, checkout, payment, and delivery providers may process information as needed to provide those services. Each provider may have its own privacy policy and retention practices.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to a valid legal request, protect the site or another person, investigate abuse, or complete a business transfer. Film Grain Brain LLC does not disclose information to data brokers or advertising networks as part of the current site configuration.

Production pages load Plausible for aggregate traffic measurement. The default configuration uses Plausible without advertising cookies or persistent identifiers. Plausible may receive page URL, referrer, browser, operating-system, device, and coarse location signals for aggregate reporting. Deployment configuration may vary.

The site may use browser local storage to remember an email address and the source of a prior request as a convenience. You can clear that storage through your browser settings. It is not a server account and does not give the studio access to other browser data.

A verified product-access flow may use a short-lived, HttpOnly, same-site access cookie. Hosted checkout or embedded third-party services may set their own cookies under their own policies.

Support and contact messages are kept in the studio email system for as long as reasonably needed to reply, provide support, maintain correspondence history, and protect the business. Purchase, tax, license, and refund records may be kept longer when law or ordinary accounting practice requires it.

In-memory rate-limit entries are discarded after the protection window. Durable rate-limit records may remain until separate cleanup or deletion. Browser local storage remains until you clear it or the site replaces it. Film Grain Brain LLC reviews deletion requests and deletes or de-identifies information from systems it controls when it is not required to retain it, subject to backups, legal duties, disputes, and security records.

You can ask what personal information Film Grain Brain LLC holds about you, request a correction, request deletion, ask about how your information is used, or object to optional email processing. Email contact@filmgrainbrain.com or use the contact page. We may need to verify a request using the email address involved.

You can submit an optional email request through Email Preferences. The form sends a manual request, does not itself change a mailing list, and does not authenticate email ownership. Purchase confirmations, receipts, invoices, license recovery, security, and direct support messages are transactional and are not optional marketing messages when they apply.

Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or appeal. Film Grain Brain LLC will respond to requests as required by applicable law.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and Film Grain Brain LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child submitted information, contact the studio so it can be reviewed and removed.

Film Grain Brain LLC is based in the United States. Service providers may process information in the United States or another country where they operate.

The site uses bounded request bodies, origin checks, validation, honeypots, rate limits, server-side email delivery, and restricted provider credentials as practical safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

The current forms do not ask for Social Security numbers, driver’s-license numbers, or full payment-card details. Do not send sensitive information through a contact form unless it is necessary for your request.

If the site changes what it collects, shares, or stores, this policy will be updated with a new date and the change will be described here.
