Refund Policy
A clear support path for Film Grain Brain digital software purchases.
Last updated · August 6, 2026
Current store availability
The public Film Grain Brain catalog is available for browsing, but paid checkout is currently unavailable. No paid order or customer license is created through the site while checkout is closed.
This policy applies when Film Grain Brain offers a digital software purchase. Product-specific terms or a hosted checkout may provide a more generous or more specific process.
Refund window
Film Grain Brain offers a 14-day refund path for eligible digital software purchases from the date of purchase unless the product page or checkout states a different period.
This policy does not remove a refund, cancellation, warranty, or withdrawal right that cannot legally be waived in the place where the buyer lives.
Consumer rights
Ohio does not require every seller to offer one specific return policy, but a refund policy that is offered should be clear and conspicuously posted before purchase. This 14-day path is a voluntary policy, not a general Ohio three-day cancellation rule.
Some transaction categories have their own cancellation or disclosure rules, and a buyer’s state or country may provide additional rights. Applicable law controls where it provides greater protection.
How to request a refund
Email contact@filmgrainbrain.com within the applicable window. Include the product name, order email, purchase date, order or receipt reference if available, and a short description of the problem. Do not send full payment-card numbers.
The studio may ask for reasonable information needed to locate the order, confirm the requester, understand a compatibility or delivery issue, and prevent duplicate or fraudulent requests.
Eligible issues
The refund process covers duplicate charges, failed or incomplete delivery, unresolved license or download problems, a product that does not work on its stated supported configuration, and a good-faith request that the product is not a fit.
Product requirements and any trial or preview information shown before checkout matter. The studio will look for a practical fix first when a support or installation issue can be resolved, but a buyer does not need to disclose sensitive information to ask for a refund.
Provider handling
If a hosted checkout provider processes the transaction or acts as merchant of record, that provider may need to approve or issue the refund, and its buyer terms, fraud controls, tax records, and payment rules may also apply. The product page or checkout will identify that relationship before payment.
Approved refunds are sent through the original payment method when possible. Processing time can depend on the provider and the card or bank. Refunds do not promise that a bank will post the funds immediately.
After a refund
After a refund is approved, the related license, download, update, customer-portal, or entitlement access may be revoked. You should stop using the refunded software and delete installer copies when the applicable product terms require it.
A refund does not affect rights or obligations that law says survive, and it does not erase a transaction record that the studio or payment provider must retain for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, or dispute handling.
Chargebacks and other questions
Please contact support before filing a chargeback when possible. The studio can often resolve delivery, license, compatibility, or duplicate-charge problems directly. This request is not a condition of any legal right to contact a card issuer or payment provider.
The Film Grain Brain store currently offers no physical goods or shipping returns. If a product includes physical goods, a service subscription, or a recurring renewal, its checkout and product terms will state the applicable cancellation and return process.
