How the studio works
Most work arrives before it knows what it is: footage, a feeling, a half-made thing, a knot in the process. A first version is information, not failure. The practice is to make a version, listen to it, cut what is not helping, and keep looking until the work can move on its own.

The founder
Film Grain Brain was founded by Bryan H.J., a born-and-raised Columbus, Ohio native, filmmaker, video editor, and software-minded creative.
The studio brings writing, directing, editing, visual design, web design, software development, and practical systems into the same room. Not to do everything. The point is to know which discipline will help the work move next.
